I love the culture of this work - talking with the guys every morning, scheduling, and dealing with the jobs. More than anything, seeing a project go from a piece of raw land to the final product our client hired us for.

Our Story
In 2018, we started as a two-man operation with a dump truck in Athens, Alabama. It was an old 90s model, which we needed to haul dirt. Then we added a dozer. Fast forward to today and we operate 50 pieces of equipment and have 40 employees. We’re still based in Athens though we now work throughout the Tennessee Valley.
Despite this growth, we’re still a privately held, family owned business. At our core, we’re a team of hard-working individuals who make up the body that is our civil contracting company. We pride ourselves on taking care of our customers, our community, and each other. That is the Newby’s culture.
As a company, we’re proud to live and work in North Alabama, and be part of the progress happening in the Tennessee Valley. We’re looking ahead while never forgetting our roots. We dig the dirt work!
